So yo between the music, tattooing and painting...its been hard to keep up a decent blog with mad details of everything like i use to...my apologies...but here is something i wanted to share with yall. I did a show a couple months back Produced by the fish and the Lion.. www.myspace/thefishandthelion they are making some beautiful things happen in the NYC some real positive shit too. This show was a benefit for the WPA (Women's Prison Association) a non-for-profit organization that helps women who are locked up and need assistance.. books, counseling, etc. to make donations and learn more visit.. www.wpaonline.org. So it was an art show and the theme was Frida Kahlo and Chaka Khan...2 very powerful women in the music/art world.. actually Frida is one of my favorite painters.. for those of you who are not familiar with her or her artwork .. I strongly suggest you look her up!! I had fun and met a bunch of cool folks at this event I will have posters of this painting which you can get on my website .. www.mistahmetro.com
